EPnP Medical’s EMS combines established processes with modern manufacturing technology.
In flat assembly production, we rely on SMD and THT assembly for reliable series production. Precise depaneling is performed using laser cutting processes to ensure gentle processing of even sensitive circuit boards.
For the highest quality solder joints, we use vacuum vapor phase systems that minimize voids and thus achieve a particularly low shrinkage rate – a crucial quality feature for thermal and electrical stability. We also use selective soldering to integrate individual components precisely and gently.
With conformal coating, we protect assemblies from moisture, dust, and corrosion with lacquer and encapsulation coatings.
Assembly services round out the offering: Assemblies are efficiently assembled and tested – for systems that operate reliably over the long term.

Testing and quality assurance are not just the final steps in EPnP Medical’s EMS, but an integral part of the entire process.
We check for production suitability right from the layout stage and develop customized test concepts. During production, modern processes ensure every detail: automated optical inspections (2D/3D AOI), solder paste and X-ray inspections, in-circuit and boundary scan tests. These are complemented by functional tests, end-of-line tests, and climatic stress tests.
For complex requirements, run-in and burn-in procedures are available, as are microscopic and endoscopic inspections of individual solder joints. With vacuum vapor phase soldering, we achieve particularly low void rates – a key quality feature for thermal and electrical stability. All processes are traceably documented to ensure safety, transparency, and trust.
